Kids of the Kingdom
Welcomes children through sixth grade.
Kids of the Kingdom meets on the third floor of the Education Wing on Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm.
Bell Choir
Welcomes youth (sixth grade) through adults.
Bell Choir meets in the Balcony on Sundays following worship

Welcomes youth (seventh grade) through adults.
The Celebration Choir meets in the Balcony on Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Women's Group (WELCA)
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America participate in retreats and conventions where we can grow together in our faith. We also sponsor and support a variety of small groups which are open for any woman to participate in. These include the following:
Circles
We have 2 active circles which gather on the 3rd Tuesday each month for bible study and fellowship. Mary Circle meets at 9:30 a.m. and Rebecca Circle meets at 10:00 a.m. both circles meet in the lower level of First Lutheran.
Knitting Group
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the “Wall of Yarn” shop on Stephenson Street. We work on service projects as well as our own. Some of the projects we create and distribute include prayer shawls, prayer squares, scarves, hats, sweaters, and baby blankets. All knitters, crocheters, or those wishing to learn how are welcome.
Project Work Day
Women gather from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays every month at the church. We make quilts and collect items for personal care kits and school kits. These are sent to Lutheran World Relief, which distributes them worldwide to those in need. We also make lap robes which are donated to area nursing homes. Anyone is welcome to come for part or all of the day.
Bunko
Anywhere from 8 to 16 women come to the Martin Luther Room on the 3rd Thursday each month at 1:00 p.m. to play Bunko. It is a time for fellowship, and anyone is welcome to join in. The game is easy to learn and a fun time is had by all. After sharing coffee and dessert, we end the day around 3:00 p.m.
Men’s Group
Luther -n- Brew
Every first Tuesday of the month men gather together at Cannova’s to enjoy fellowship and bible discussion. We go over the current bible readings and how it impacts our lives and those within the community.
Bible Study
Saturday Bible Study
Every Saturday at 7:30 a.m. the group gathers at Amigos Restaurant, 306 N Galena Ave. to discuss the lessons of the week over coffee and breakfast. Everyone is welcome.
